Legendary Heavy-Duty Construction
Safety. Heavy-duty construction. Performance. These are all qualities you look for in an aerial platform. The Ferrara HD-100 Rear-Mount Platform gives you those and more. It also boasts Ferrara’s legendary heavy-duty construction with 3/16" thick aluminum cab and body plus a 100,000-psi steel aerial. For safety, the aerial has a full complement of safety interlocks, and the cab and body have been load tested to 66,000 pounds in excess of NFPA 1901 requirements.

Features & Benefits
Full-length Torque Box
Ferrara aerials all feature a full-length torque box, providing stability for the aerial and a smooth ride for occupants. The front outriggers are integral with the torque box, connected by massive 6" x 8" beams for added support and stability.
Optional Recessed Magnet
Save set-up time and stop guessing where the auxiliary ground pads should be placed. We offer an optional recessed magnet in the auxiliary pad, allowing you to connect to the stabilizer foot pad prior to deployment.
Dual Siamese Extension Cylinders
Extension/retraction is smooth and rapid with our dual Siamese extension cylinders. Why settle for 2 extension cylinders when you can have 4?
Angled Stabilizer Foot Pads
Stabilizer foot pads are angled slightly down toward the middle of the truck. During the winter, when you park the truck in your station, snow, ice and slush will melt and drain off the foot pad instead of melting there and causing the pad to rust.
Fully Enclosed Sheaves
All sheaves are fully enclosed, so you don’t have to worry about getting PPE or other gear caught between the cable and pulley.
NFPA-mandated Continuous Handrails
Continuous handrails maintain constant contact between the ladder and platform so you have a sure grip for easy ladder-to-platform transition no matter what angle the ladder is positioned at.
Rescue-style Compartments
Carry more gear with Ferrara’s rescue-style compartments. Each opening on the driver side is 24" deep x full height. Our standard quint body style has over 250 cubic feet of compartment space.
Operate at negative elevations up to -12 degrees
At full extension, you can reach over 11' below street level and, depending on mid or rear mount, 94- 96' from the center of the turntable.
Optional Parapet Roof Ladder
Our optional parapet roof ladder bracket allows you to safely access a parapet roof from our platform, using a standard-size roof ladder.
Optional Rope Rescue
Ferrara’s optional rope rescue/lifting arm also doubles as a temporary stokes mount, including 2 tie-down points and straps to secure a patient. The stokes mount is to the left of the control panel and causes no interference for the platform operator.
Extra Wide Opening Gates
The wide, bi-fold, outward opening gates on our platform are wide enough to accommodate a stair chair, adding an extra dimension to your rescue capability.
Platform Open Grate Flooring
Open grate flooring in the platform gives you sure footing, even in wintertime during freezing conditions.
Custom-designed Ladder Tunnel
When you need to throw ground ladders, you’ll need plenty of them. The full-length torque box provides storage for up to 200' of ground ladders in a single compartment.
Forward Stabilizer Directly Behind Cab
Forward stabilizers on all Ferrara 4-jack aerials are directly behind the cab. When you set the truck with the front wheels off the ground, the front jacks support the weight of the cab and chassis with little to no frame sag.
Clean, Easy-to-use Controls
The turntable control console has a clean design with easy-to-find and read instruments. The ladder controls are direct hydraulic, requiring no manual overrides.
Oversized Paddle Switches
Stabilizers are easy to operate with a gloved hand, allowing you to keep your eyes on the stabilizer movement instead of the switch.
Platform Controls
Platform controls are located front-center, giving the operator the best view when positioning the bucket or approaching a structure.
Twin Monitors
Available as both manual, 1 manual and 1 electric, or both electric.
Well-lit Ladder Rungs
Provide safe and easy night operations.
Platform Corners
The corners on our platform have a 45° angle, making an easy transition from the platform to another structure.
