Family Oriented Ferrara is the close-knit, firefighting family. With many of our team members serving as volunteer firefighters, we know the demands of the industry and appreciate the risks our fire brethren face every day.
Proven Expertise With over 30 years working in the Louisiana oil and gas region, Ferrara is the expert in industrial high-flow pump technology for industrial use applications. This expertise is built into every Ferrara product.
Robust Every Ferrara custom fire apparatus we build exceeds industry standards and customer expectations. We do this by using thicker extrusions throughout and being the only apparatus manufacturer to utilize marine grade aluminum. Our extra-heavy-duty construction is built to last even in the most demanding conditions.
Authentic Relationships Our commitment and passion is to build and grow our long-lasting, personal relationships with dealers and customers. Each person our team interacts with is welcomed into the Ferrara family.

MAXX-Strength™ Construction

Designed to face the most demanding conditions, Ferrara fire trucks are built with our extra-heavy-duty MAXX-Strength Construction. We engineer strength into our chassis and bodies using specifically molded I-beams, thicker aluminum extrusions and robust Domex® steel frame rails. Continuous, V-channel welds and extruded 2″x 4″ gussets at each 90° joint add another level of toughness. With MAXX-Strength Construction, every Ferrara fire truck is built to be as resilient as those who operate them.

• All extrusions are more robust 3/16″ wall thickness.

• Domex steel frame rails have optional full-length liners and frame rail front bumper construction.

• Welds are continuous with a root pass plus two filler passes, not just a tack weld.

• 45° bevels are sanded to extrusion ends, creating a valley when two extrusions are placed together. This valley allows complete weld penetration and results in a stronger weld.

• Body subframes have full-width cross members with 2″x 4″ extruded gussets top and bottom.

• 7/16″ I-beam extrusions with open centers allow for heat-treating of more surface area, resulting in an extremely strong shape.

MAXX-imum™ Safety Cab

To protect the protectors, Ferrara cabs are designed with heavy-duty components and construction. We build our cabs with extruded aluminum roll cage framework in the roof, sidewalls, doorjambs and floor. Marine grade aluminum, the thickest and strongest used in fire cab construction, is used throughout the cab.
